Lauing Ranch was honored as a Century Ranch by the South Dakota Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources and South Dakota Farmers Union at the South Dakota State Fair Grounds. As Lauing Ranch observes their Century of Ranching in 2021, they are also celebrating their heritage, lively hood, their home, and their 100 years of farming & ranching. For 100 years the multiple generations of family have had a strong relationship with horses. Horses have been part of what they have done and are a continuous staple in their lives. They are extremely honored and proud of sharing their horses with others today.
Lauing Ranch Century old barn constructed by the original owner of the ranch in 1921. A building that has withstood decades of weather and sheltering livestock. The barn is still being used on the ranch today. The entire Lauing Family of 6 generations has memories of playing and working inside this grand old building.
